A traditional frontage leads to the warm and friendly Town Arms, just off Market Square in Selkirk. This is a pub which offers good beers, lagers and ciders, televised sports and various musical and other themed evenings.The Chess Club meets here on Tuesday nights from 7.00pm - but not actually in the bar; instead we occupy the upstairs functions room for quiet and privacy. Come along for a game any Tuesday, and a pint too of the excellent beer if that suits you.

Visiting clubs
Would all visiting clubs please note that you may not bring in your own drink (alcoholic or otherwise) to the Town Arms. We have an excellent relationship with the management and we get the upstairs room free... but only on the understanding that we are there as buying customers and that we do not abuse our welcome. Please do not bring any cans of Coke or anything else into the pub.
