29 April 2025: Selkirk u-1200:  drastic turnaround in Cornwell-Wylie

One game was played in the Selkirk under-1200 tournament, when Tam Wylie (well behind in the game) took advantage of a fatal but understandable blunder by Sam Cornwell, and forced Sam's resignation a few moves later.  Sam has sportingly suggested that we institute a "Blunder of the Year" award, and that this game would be a prime contender for the prize.  Older hands (like the editor) might argue that they've seen - and themselves played! - a lot worse.  The game is on the League Matches page...

League schedule changes

The 06 May match between Gala and Selkirk B will now be played at the Town Arms, and not the Waverley Bowling Club. The Kelso v Selkirk B match, originally scheduled for 22 April, will now be played at a later date. 03 June has been pencilled in, but this is still to be confirmed.
