04 April:  BICC results;  league postponements

League schedule changes

The 06 May match between Gala and Selkirk B will now be played at the Town Arms, and not the Waverley Bowling Club. The Kelso v Selkirk B match, originally scheduled for 22 April, will now be played at a later date. 03 June has been pencilled in, but this is still to be confirmed.

Borders Individual Playoff

Mark Gardiner and John Moore played their match in the Minor section playoff on Tuesday 15th, with John runnng out the winner after a long and hard-fought game.  An updated results sheet is on the BICC page...

Selkirk tournaments: by Kevin Poulton

Two games were played on the 15th in the Town Arms: in the Championship, Chris Nathan and Ian Thompson drew their game, and in the under-1200 tournament Sam Cornwell defeated Kevin Poulton.

31 Mar 2025: Playoff in BICC Minor section

We will have a playoff in the Borders Individual Championship (minor section).  The pairings are:

The first named player is White, and games can be played in any order. 30 moves in 70 minutes. Thereafter (when time control reached, and 30 moves have been made) a further 20 mins to conclusion.
