28 Mar 2024: BICC; Edin Congress; Club match

Gala player Gerry Johnstone came to the Town Arms on Tuesday to play his 5th round Border Individual match against Dave Bogle.  The game ended in an agreed draw, with Gerry in a superior but uncertain position on account of a possible counter-attack.

In the Selkirk Championship, Bill Miller and Ian Thompson played a long game which eventually ended in favour of Bill Miller.

The Edinburgh Park Congress proved an enjoyable weekend for Selkirk entrants John Moore and Sam Cornwell.  Both scored 2/5 in the Minor section, and Sam scored 4/9 in the Saturday night blitz tournament.
