2023-24: a new season
I will soon be time to start another season, and Selkirk already are getting ready for 2023-24: we have decided to enter one team in the Borders League, as running two teams in the League would be just too much of a strain on our membership. The club remains healthy though, and last week we welcomed a new member, Sam Cornwell of Hawick. A lightning tournament will be held sometime in the next two or three weeks, and at League level, the Borders AGM should be happening soon.
Come along to the Town Arms on Tuesday nights, and enjoy a pint and a game of chess.

Selkirk Chess Club meet every Tuesday at 7pm in the Town Arms, just off Selkirk Square. As you can see, we occupy a fairly spacious room above the main bar of the Town Arms. It is a friendly club, and we always welcome new chessplayers.
